Our Overnight Adventure Camps offer the chance for campers to experience a wide variety of adventure activities, while staying overnight in bunkhouses at Hemlock Overlook Regional Park. Located in Fairfax County, just 20 miles outside of Washington, D.C., our convenient location is the perfect setting for an adventure that remains convenient for a major metropolitan area. We are now offering a variety of Residential Activities that allow our campers to experience more of their favorite activities, including a multi week itinerary that will challenge even the most experienced adventurer!

Grades 6th - 9th

Our one-week sleepaway camps offer campers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the sleep-away experience while participating in their favorite adventure activities. Whether you want to be on the water all week or crawling around in the area’s best caves, we have a camp that will provide loads of excitement, traditions, and new faces. A short list of what we can guarantee: good food, adventure, s’mores, and FUN.
 
Drop-off is between 8AM and 9AM on Monday, and pick-up is between 4PM and 5PM on Friday.

Grades 8th - 10th

The two-week adventure camp offers campers the full spectrum of our adventure activities: caving, climbing, hiking, river tubing, paddling, mountain biking, and more. Two separate, short overnight trips will take them to beautiful Shenandoah National Park and the equally scenic Lake Moomaw, where campers will spend a couple nights camping and roasting marshmallows under the cover of mountains.

Drop-off is between 8AM and 9AM on Monday, and pick-up is between 4PM and 5PM on the last Friday. We invite parents and families looking to visit their campers to join us during our Family Day which takes place on the Saturday between the two weeks.

  • Transportation to and from the pickup location to the day's activity in new passenger vans
  • All necessary equipment for all activities
  • Personal flotation devices (life jackets) for all water-based activities and other personal protection equipment
  • Accommodations in bunkhouse cabins
  • All meals, snacks, and s'mores
  • An appreciation for the outdoors and our environment
  • Expert instruction in all activities by trained camp instructors who have all passed a criminal background check and undergo pre-employment and random drug screenings
