Adventure Trip Policies

1. PAPERWORK

Pre-trip paperwork is mandatory and must be completed one week prior to the start of the trip.

2. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Cancellations made one month prior to trip date will result in a 25% cancellation fee, with the remainder refunded in the form of a check.

Short term illness or injury: If a short term illness or injury prevents you from attending the scheduled trip, the client may reschedule another trip.

Long term illness or injury: Cancellations must be accompanied by a doctor's note for a 25% cancellation fee with the remainder refunded by check. A doctor's note must be received prior to before a refund will be issued.

Existing waiting list requests: For cancellations within one month, if there is a waiting list request for a space in the trip, then the cancellation may result in a 25% fee with the remainder refunded by check, only after the vacated space in the camp has been filled.

 

3. INCLEMENT WEATHER

Adventure Links trips run rain or shine. If a scheduled activity can be safely facilitated outdoors, then the scheduled itinerary will be implemented as planned.

Trips will not be canceled due to common weather conditions such as rain, thunderstorms, heat, high winds, etc. Itineraries may be altered in these instances on a case by case basis.

In the event of extreme and highly unusual weather conditions or other natural disasters such as flooding, earthquake, hurricane, etc., a trip may be ended early, postponed, or canceled. Refunds will not be provided once a trip has begun.

Adventure Links staff will monitor weather reports and may make changes to the planned itinerary to provide the best experience, however schedule changes are not always possible, and inclement weather may result in the day's activity being altered or replaced.

 

4. ITINERARIES

Our trips run rain or shine and Adventure Links follows the program itineraries as closely as possible. We do halt an activity and move to the most protected area in the event of lightning, severe rain, or high winds. Occasionally, unpredictable weather conditions, permit status, group dynamics or other circumstances necessitate itinerary modifications. Adventure Links reserves the right to alter sites or activities when necessary and provide appropriate substitute activities or locations.

 

5. PROGRAM CANCELLATION OR EARLY TERMINATION

Adventure Links reserves the right to cancel a program. In the very unlikely event that this would occur, Adventure Links will refund tuition paid.

 

6. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Adventure Links is not responsible for personal belongings brought by participants, and will not reimburse for lost, damaged, or stolen items.

Weapons, with the exception of small pocket knives, and drugs are not permitted on the trip.

Pets and other animals may not be brought on trips. Please call the Adventure Links office if you have questions about a service animal accompanying you.

 

7. PROMOTIONAL RELEASE

Upon enrolling in an Adventure Links program, the applicant authorizes Adventure Links to the use of photos, quotes or video footage from programs for the purpose of marketing.

 

8. INSURANCE

The participant is responsible for any medical expenses or transportation costs related to an illness, accident or departure from the program. In addition, Adventure Links is not responsible for theft, loss or damage to personal property.

 

9. GUEST EXPERIENCE

Adventure Links seeks to have a group experience and reserves the right to ask guests being disruptive, rude, jeopardizing the safety of the trip, or breaking any park rules to leave at their own expense.
