Ultimate Adventure Day Camp Itinerary

Team Challenge Course
Location: Adventure Links - Paris, VA
Bring/Wear: Bring water, lunch, raingear, sunscreen and backpack. Wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothes. NO SANDALS!
The group will spend the day getting to know each other through team challenges, games and fun. During the day, participants will have the chance to try new things such as our high static course (11-14) and a simulated disaster or mission that the group must work together to overcome.

Rock Climbing
Location: Crescent Rocks near Purcellville, VA; Elizabeth Furnace, Strasburg, VA; Turkey Run Memorial Park, Great Falls, VA
Bring/Wear: Bring water, lunch, raingear, sunscreen and backpack. Wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothes. NO SANDALS!
We are headed to beautiful cliffs along the Blue Ridge Mountains, to spend the day rock climbing. This sport is a fantastic way to get to know the others in camp, learn new skills, and enjoy what the vertical world has to offer. Please pack a lunch and belongings in a backpack, as the hike to the rocks takes about 15 minutes.

Outdoor Survival and Natural Living Skills
Location: Adventure Links - Paris, VA or Shenandoah River - near Bluemont, VA
Bring/Wear: Bring water, lunch, raingear, sunscreen and backpack. Wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothes. NO SANDALS!
Campers will find themselves in an emergency scenario which may induce them to make debris shelters, friction fires, snares and much more in order to survive. The group will spend the day focusing on the outdoors and our environment and the art of natural living skills.

Canoeing & Kayaking (11-14 years old) or Rafting (8-10 years old)
Location: Shenandoah River - near Rt. 7
Bring/Wear: Bring water, lunch, raingear, sunscreen and backpack. Wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothes. Sandals may be worn on the ride home.
What better way to spend a summer day than on the water! Participants will learn the fundamentals of boat handling, paddle strokes, and how to work together when paddling their canoes and rafts. Both kayaks and canoes are available for campers to experiment with during the day(11-14).

Caving
Location: Whitings Neck Cave- Shepherdstown , WV
Bring/Wear: Bring water, lunch, raingear, clean clothes to change into, garbage bag, and backpack. Wear tennis shoes or hikers and warm (long sleeve shirt and pants) clothes to GET DIRTY. Sandals may be worn on the ride home. We head underground to crawl through the passageways of Whitings Neck Cave. A new environment for many of our campers, caves offer a break from the heat, typical during the summer months (caves have a constant temperature of 52 degrees , no matter what season it is!!) Please be prepared for the cooler temperature and a wet and muddy day of exploring.
