Spend quality time in the woods learning hands-on essential living skills including tracking, building shelters, building small traps, stalking, fire making, and tool making among other survival skills! Join Instructors on an optional Camp out mid-week. You will leave this camp with a new confidence in your ability to be more self-sufficient—whether you find yourself outdoors by choice or by need. The week ends with a day of rafting on the river enjoying nature  and learning how the river compliments natural living.

Instructor MICHAEL SOTTOSANTI
Having lived in the forest with his dog and horse much of his life, Michael is a highly skilled woodsman with very intimate ties to nature. While most of us can never imagine doing such a thing, the experience has created a very unique skill set for Michael and we are honored to have him lead our primitive teachings camp this year. Michael takes primitive teachings to an entirely new level by sharing how easily every need can be met with what is available in the natural environment. His vast abilities allow an endless amount of skills to be taught and questions to be answered. Michael has ignited and maintained the attention of hundreds of youth through his depth of knowledge and gentle style.

Instructor MATT BIRD, aka “Bird”
With a passion for the natural outdoors, Bird brings a strong desire to share his profound knowledge with youth of all ages. His quiet, confident way of teaching captivates young minds and continues to be the most requested staff member in our company by the campers that return year after year. With years of hands on experience with survival techniques he has proven to be the perfect person to run this unique and inspiring week of camp.
