AGES: 8-10
COST: $645

New five day version of our classic Appalachian Adventure!

For our youngest overnight adventurers, we have designed a kids' adventure camp that keeps this active age group busy and engaged throughout their program. This five day summer overnight camp travels through Virginia and West Virginia visiting the most exciting and beautiful areas. Learn to rely on your teammates to make you laugh, give you support and help you set up your tents at night. Dive into the world of outside cooking, adventure activities and traveling with everything you need to live in one bag. Highlights of this trip include staying in our favorite campground, Jess Judy enjoying the stream side sounds at night and exploring the depths of Trout Cave in Franklin, WV.

Shenandoah River Rafting - Monday
Location: Luray, VA
After breakfast, the group will travel to the nearby Shenandoah River and raft the Compton's Rapid section. At the end of the day, the group will be ready for another warm meal to fill their stomachs and then settle down around the campfire to reflect on the events thus far.

Hiking - Tuesday
Location: Shenandoah National Park
In the morning we hike to nearby natural waterfalls and absorb some of Shenandoah’s Park natural beauty. We picnic for our lunch and then head to our favorite campground, Jess Judy!

Caving - Wednesday
Location: New Trout Cave
This morning we wake up in the beautiful West Virginia Mountains surrounded by great views and the breeze off the river. We spend the day spelunking and crawling through the passageways of New Trout Cave, near Franklin, WV and then return to our tent site for the evening.

Survival Skills - Thursday
Location: Elizabeth Furnace - Strasburg, VA
This morning we travel to the George Washington National Forest to enjoy some much needed relaxation in the water! Today we also explore the world of primitive living through debris hut construction and tracking instruction

Rock Climbing - Friday
Location. Elizabeth Furnace - Strasburg, VA
The group will gear up to test their climbing abilities and learn about proper technique and safety. We visit the rock climbing area down the road at Elizabeth’s Furnace and climb on the cliffs overlooking scenic Passage Creek in the historic Fort Valley. At the end of the day we travel back to base camp for cleanup and to greet our parents!
